As a painter, my first time using black and white film was filled with a big surprise. After being assigned a walking diary assignment for my darkroom photography class I decided it would be interesting to try out my favorite adventure finding game “Follow the Rainbow” with my black and white camera. Using texture and angles to guide the eye toward the main event, “COLOR,” you will never be able to fully perceive. This exercise was enlightening for my eye,s training them to understand contrast within tone.
